How ethical is Beach Shack Project jewellery?
Most of my designs revolve around found objects, whether this is an old necklace I have cut up or a piece of battered plywood I found on the beach. I up-cycle the flotsam and jetsam from the coast and turn them into contemporary designs.All the sea glass and sea pottery used in my designs has been collected by me on the beaches in Cornwall. The pieces have not been altered, polished or tumbled artificially. You can read more about sea glass and sea pottery by clicking on SEA GLASS above on the options bar.The reclaimed nylon is collected from the beach, untangled and then cleaned using antibacterial agents. It is a strong durable but unbiodegrable material. The hemp is organic and sustainably managed.

Do you do combined postage? When i try and add more than one item to my cart the postage doesn't change?
Due to the prehistoric nature of my website designing software, my shopping cart system can't recognise or process the postage costs, so if you are buying three or more items please email me for reduced shiping costs. I will set up a paypal invoice for you instead with the correct total amount.

The item I am looking at is more expensive when I add it to the cart.
The amount in the cart reflects the price plus shipping, so if a bracelet is £20 and your having it shipped to, say, the USA, then the total should reflect this ( £25.50). When you are looking at the item page, there are three buttons to pay with, depending on your geographical location. Postage is £3.10 to the UK, recorded, £5.50 to the USA, tracked, and £8.00 tracked elsewhere. Please let me know if there has been a mathmatical faux pas.

Do you take custom orders?
Yes I take custom orders. Please get in touch and let me know what your looking for. I can create an unique item based on your personal style preferences, size and budget.

Can you work with something that I have found?
If you have pieces of sea glass or sea pottery, or any other found object you would like to be made into a gift, either for yourself or someone else, please get in touch. A piece of jewellery that has been made with something sentimental to the wearer makes it much more special.

Please let me know if a page is not working, so I can look at the problem. Usually this is just a bad link on my part!

Is the hemp uncomfortable to wear?
My hemp is from a company called Ecolution, who produce organic hemp that has been sustainably managed. It results in a strong, durable and soft textile that is very comfortable to wear.

Is your metal nickle free?
Yes, all metals used are 9kt gold or sterling silver, unless otherwise stated.

How do I pay you, I don't have a Paypal account.
You can use paypal even if you do not have an account. Simply follow the prompts at the checkout. You will need a credit or debit card to proceed. Paypal is a secure way to send money online. You can visit them by going to www.paypal.com.

Do you accept Cheques?
Yes, but items will only be sent out once cheque has cleared, so if you need your item in a rush please allow for the postage time and 5 days for the cheque to clear. This whole process can sometimes take up to 2 weeks so if you do need your item quicker I recommend paypal. Please get in touch to reserve an item if you do want to pay by cheque.

This is a gift, will you giftwrap?
All items come boxed, and I can giftwrap any items too on request. Please type giftwrapping into the 'message to seller box' at checkout.
