Autumn: Huge 14 stone beachcombers necklace

Autumn: Huge 14 stone beachcombers necklace

£150.00

Unusual statement choker style necklace made with 14 pieces of seaworn glass, pottery and pebbles.

Collected from Suffolk, Norfolk and Cornwall.

The beautiful pebbles include jasper, iron stained quartz, slate, and basalt.

Pebbles, sea glass and pottery have been smoothed by the sea against the sand so has a nice smooth rounded surface.

This is the first necklace I have made with this many stones, a labour of love and inspired by the changing of the seasons, autumn hues of biscuit, moss, emerald, tangerine, rust, silver and inky black. Theres even a little beer bottle brown sea glass charm on the clasp.

Made using a wire bezel technique I created, which is kind of a cross between basketry and weaving. It is a time consuming technique but a labour of love. Each piece of sea glass is securely and artistically encased in a delicate wire frame.

Surgical stainless steel findings. Highest quality stainless steel does not rust or tarnish, a hard wearing metal with a finish like antique sterling. Also suitable for people with metal allergies, stainless steel is used predominantly in the medical profession as people are less likely to react to it.

Necklace is 16-18 inches long with extender chain.

See photo of me wearing for idea of length / scale.
